A Grade 4 maths period on "area and perimeter" starts in the classroom with the formula, moves to the farm to measure a real plot with tape and string, and ends back at the desk converting the plot's dimensions into a scale drawing.
Cambridge Lower to Upper Secondary — The same principle scales up: a Commerce class on cost accounting works from the school farm's actual input and yield records; a Biology class on ecosystems runs its fieldwork on the pond and compost systems — practices that continue seamlessly from Cambridge Lower Secondary into Cambridge Upper Secondary, where learners extend this field-first model ahead of their IGCSE unit tests.
